Necon

If you are in the process of deciding which type of birth control you want to use, the process can be a daunting one. With all the pills, patches, shots and internal devices that are available today, how do you know which one is the best? No form of birth control is a guarantee against pregnancy. Some would take this to mean that it doesn’t really matter which type you use, they all are virtually the same. This is true only to a point. It is wise to do your homework. Not all birth control pills are the same, as is the same for the shots and patches as well.

You are probably not surprised that birth control pills are the most common form of birth control in America. But what people fail to realize is that there are many types of pills out there, most of which do the same thing unless you are looking for an emergency contraceptive which necon offers 10/11. That is another story altogether. Necon 1/50 and necon 1/35, a competitive new birth control pill on the market, contains both mestranol and norethindrone, female hormones that prevent ovulation. Necon also causes a change in cervical mucus, which makes it harder for sperm to reach the uterus and for a fertilized egg to attach.

Necon birth control pills do have significant, non-serious side effects associated with it, as do most brands. In fact, necon has been at the center of a side effects lawsuit. Some of the most common side effects are headaches and dizziness, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, breast tenderness, depression, bloating, weight gain, vaginal itching, acne, mood swings, decreased sex drive, fatigue and changes in blood sugar. If you are worried about the common side effects associated with the birth control pill, you may want to consider another form of birth control because side effects are the most common complaint. The serious risks associated with all necon pills 1/50, 1/35-28 and 777 are sudden numbness and weakness, sudden severe headaches associated with loss of balance and/or vision and speech problems, pain in the chest or shortness of breath, stomach pain, fever, jaundice, dark urine and clay colored stools. You should also know that taking necon with certain drugs, vitamins and supplements may make it less effective, which may result in pregnancy.

If you want to learn more about necon, check out their website, or check with your doctor for a pamphlet or brochure. And like all birth control pills, you should tell your doctor about any medications you may be taking.
