Kariva

Kariva is one of the brand name drugs that uses estrogen and estrogen derivatives. These include numerous medications of medicines that are often used in conjunction with other drugs, especially progestin. In their various formulations, estrogens are used for birth control and to treat menopausal symptoms, certain forms of cancer, and ovarian failure. Kariva is also used for other purposes. Kariva can be used as an estrogen-progestin combination that may be prescribed for menopausal symptoms or birth control.

Kariva Birth Control

The side effects of Kariva are many and varied and can include acne, breast tenderness, blood clots, depression, dizziness, altered blood pressure, irritability, pain in your muscles or joints, vaginal bleeding, water retention, premenstrual-like syndrome, and yeast infections. Kariva can cause your body to lose its supply of folic acid, magnesium, riboflavin, tyrosine, niacin, zinc, and vitamins B6, B12, and C. Various forms of estrogen and other derivatives can cause abdominal cramps, bloating, nausea, and vomiting, all of which can upset your eating habits and possibly interfere with good nutrition. Various forms of Kariva can also trigger hypercalcemia, or too much calcium in your blood.

To make up for your lack of nutrients that are lost when you take Kariva, you can eat foods that contain the depleted nutrients. To increase your level of folic acid, you can eat beef liver, fortified breakfast cereals, spinach, great northern beans, and asparagus. To increase your level of magnesium, you can eat Florida avocado, toasted wheat germ, almonds, shredded wheat cereal, and pumpkin seeds. To increase your level of tyrosine, you can eat soy, turkey, chicken, peanuts, and banana. To increase your level of riboflavin, you can eat dried sunflower seeds, orange juice, bulgur, spinach noodles, and pine nuts. To increase your level of niacin, you can eat chicken breast, beef liver, mackerel, barley, and bulgur. To increase your level of B6, you can increase your intake of potato, banana, garbanzo beans, chicken breast, and fortified oatmeal. To increase your level of B12, you can eat beef liver, rainbow trout, sockeye salmon, beef, and haddock. To increase your level of vitamin C, you can eat papaya, guava, red pepper, cantaloupe, and black currants. And to increase your level of zinc, you can eat oysters, beef shank, chicken, pork tenderloin, and plain yogurt.
